Please be reminded that from January 2013, the Cayman Islands Registrar of Companies increased the penalty for failing or late in filing of a register of directors and officers.
- The first register of directors and officers are to be filed within 90 days of registration of companies. Where no filing has been received on or before the 90th day, a penalty of CI$1,000 (US$1,200) will apply. A per diem penalty of CI$100 for each day that the default continues is also applicable.
- For any changes to directors and officers, including a change of name, the register of directors and officers is to be filed within 30 days. Where filing received after 30th day, penalty of CI$1,000 applies to the company. In addition, there is also a CI$100 per day per director or officer penalty.
